OCHESTER HILLS—The industrial automation supplier Fanuc America has introduced the latest addition to its Robodrill vertical machining center lineup, the new α-D28LiB5ADV Plus Y500.
The new machining center offers a larger table, shorter drilling and tapping cycles as well as more tools coupled with faster tool changes.
Fanuc will introduce the new machining center at the 2024 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago, Sept. 9-14 in booth S-338919.
The company said the new center offers an extended, 500-millimeter Y-axis stroke and larger table, without increasing the Robodrill footprint, and offers faster drilling and tapping operations, and an expanded capacity of 28 tools.
“We understand modern machine shops, particularly in the automotive industry, need to produce constantly, maximize machine time, and reduce any interruptions to production,” says Lou Finazzo, vice president of Fanuc America. “The new α-D28LiB5ADV Plus Y500 is built for reliable production, tailored to our customers’ needs for extra capabilities without sacrificing any floorspace.”
