
LANSING–The 2023 Michigan Cyber Summit will be held Wednesday, Oct. 18 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, followed a day later on Oct 19 by the Michigan High School Cyber Summit.
The event, now in its 12th year, will bring together experts to provide timely content and address a variety of cybersecurity issues impacting the world. Attendees will hear from government and industry leaders on the latest developments and gain insights into managing today’s cybersecurity challenges.
The State of Michigan has long been considered a national leader on cybersecurity, leading the discussion on emerging trends and best practices in policy, law, and all manner of public and private interests.
The agenda for the conference will showcase recognized speakers and experts to lead sessions on topics such as:
Government and private sector collaboration
Cybersecurity workforce development
State of cybersecurity for state and local governments
Private sector cybersecurity trends
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Oct. 19 event, meanwhile, will bring together over 500 high school students from across the state in an event created to educate students on the topic of cybersecurity. The event has been designed to allow students to participate in sessions focused on showcasing the career opportunities in cybersecurity. Speakers include representatives of state government and employers involved in cybersecurity. This event runs from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
