SOUTHFIELD–The Society of American Military Engineers Detroit Post will hold its annual Golf Classic Thursday, July 27 at the Links of Novi Singh, 50395 W. 10 Mile Road in Novi.
The event begins with registration at 7:30 a.m., a rules meeting at 8:45 a.m., and a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
SAME officials say the golf outing generates funding for college scholarships, STEM camper fees, veteran’s events, and other activities in the area.
The entry fee is $125 for government workers and students and $150 for others, with dinner only tickets available for $40. Tickets include 18 holes of golf with cart, a light breakfast, a hot dog lunch at the turn, dinner with two drink tickets, and a raffle ticket. The format is a four-person scramble, with prizes for longest drive, longest made putt, and closest to the pin.

Mulligan team packages are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. There’s also a team skins challenge with a $20 cash entry at registration.
