
LANSING–Clean Fuels Michigan will showcase a variety of electric vehicles during a “Ride and Drive” event at the State Capitol on Tuesday, May 9.
At the event, legislators and others will get to test drive a range of EVs, from sports cars and SUVs that combine style with sustainability to school buses and commercial transport vehicles that reduce pollution and fossil fuel use. There will also be exhibits demonstrating charging stations and other supply chain elements in the EV transition.
The event takes place as Michigan supercharges investments and economic development in electric vehicles and clean transportation involving research, manufacturing and supply chain development helping create some of the 13,700 new jobs in the clean energy sector coming online in the past year alone.
The event is hosted by Clean Fuels Michigan and Michigan Conservative Energy Forum. Vehicles and exhibits will be provided by: Ford, General Motors, Stellantis, Rivian, Tesla, Bollinger, NAVISTAR, Polaris, BorgWarner, Blink charging, EV Charging POD, Volta Power Systems, Consumers Energy, Lansing BWL, and more.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Michigan Capitol, 100 N. Capitol Ave. in Lansing.
