NOVI–Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A. Inc. announced a new management structure that places emphasis on North American expertise and a refined focus on responsibilities.
Appointed to President and CEO is Masamichi Mizukoshi, pictured above. He has held a number of domestic and international leadership positions over his 35-year career at Toyota Motor Corp. Most recently and since 2019, he was COO of Hino Motors Manufacturing USA. Previously, he was managing officer for Hino Motors Ltd. Mizukoshi succeeds Takashi Ono, who served as president of Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A. since 2017, and who has been appointed Chief Toyota Business Officer.
Appointed COO and executive vice president for Toyota Business is Davey Jung. He has held numerous roles at Hino Motors Manufacturing Michigan offices throughout the last decade, most recently as executive vice president, senior vice president for purchasing, sales, research, and corporate strategy. Previously, during a 13-year period at Dana Inc. in Ohio, Jung held positions including chief engineer and director of sales.
Appointed executive vice president was Masaki Hanayama. He will oversee Hino Motors Manufacturing truck business, production planning control, and research and development. Most recently he was product strategy department officer for Hino Motors Ltd. Motors Ltd. Previously and over the course of his career since 1994 with Hino Motors Ltd., Hanayama led Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies, and also served as promotion department general manager and corporate strategy department officer.
Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A. Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hino Motors Ltd., and sister company to Hino Motors Sales Inc., (Hino Trucks). Together, HMM and Hino Trucks manufacture and distribute trucks through 10 plants in five states as well as research and development, sales, and parts distribution operations, employing more than 1,500 people. HMM assembles medium duty trucks in Mineral Wells, W. Va., manufactures automotive parts in Marion, Ark., and operates parts centers in Mira Loma, Calif. HMM is also a Tier-1 supplier of high-quality automotive parts throughout North America.
