ASQ sets quality and reliability symposium for auto industry

SOUTHFIELD–The American Society for Quality Automotive Division will conduct its 2022 Quality and Reliability Symposium Friday, Oct. 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 116 of the Oakland University Engineering Center.

The keynote speaker is Vince Mastrangelo, head of quality and environment in Continental.

There will also be a variety of technical presentations, including changes in IATF16949, a technical specification aimed at the development of a quality management system which provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the automotive industry supply chain and assembly process; optimization of new impact standards; and presentations on value, quality, and reliability.

The admission of $10 includes breakfast and lunch, and there will be a raffle for an online Lean Six Sigma Training course from MoreStream, valued at $1,900.

The event provides 1.0 recertification units.
