2021 Battery Show announces programming

NOVI–Trade shows are returning to the Suburban Collection Showcase in Novi.

Sept. 14-16, it will be The Battery Show and the Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo, North America’s largest advanced battery technology event and the only trade show and conference exclusively dedicated to the drive train and power system in electric and hybrid electric vehicles.

Organizers of the events have announced their conference programming, combining industry and technical content focusing on real world commercial applications to help professionals keep up with the fast-moving advanced battery and automotive industries.

The conference will offer eight learning tracks delivered by industry experts, covering new methods of advanced battery design, battery manufacturing development, and newly added forecasts of the market supply chain and regulatory outlook.

Conference attendees will also have the opportunity to tune into four 3-hour pre-conference workshops held one day before the expo on Monday, Sept. 13, to explore topics in great depth and breadth through a detailed and interactive learning experience on core subject matters in advanced batteries and electric & hybrid vehicle.

According to the trade group Global Drive to Zero, consumers spent $120 billion on electric car purchases in 2020, a 50% increase from 2019, while more than 10 of the largest automakers worldwide have declared electrification targets for 2030 and beyond.

“The Battery Show and Electric Vehicle Technology Conference has been expertly designed with each session selected an advisory board composed of scientists, engineers, and executives from top-industry companies,” said Jenny McCall, event director. “With consumers and OEMs’ growing interest in electric and battery powered vehicles, we’re thrilled to be able to provide the important community of engineers and innovators educational opportunities to grow their knowledge and ultimately help meet the industry’s goals and demand.”

Each session will be organized into one of the following conference tracks:
