ANN ARBOR—The July 27 M2 TechCast will feature wide-ranging discussions on women in technology, utility options available to consumers, and continuing news of the coronavirus pandemic from one of the nation’s foremost experts.
The M2 TechCast is available at PodcastDetroit.com, on Facebook Live, and on other sites where podcasts are distributed. The live show begins Mondays at 2 p.m. Eastern time.
Monday’s show kicks off with regular guest Kathleen Norton-Schock, who will update the happenings of the Michigan Council of Women in Technology, as well as supply updates on her podcast around women in technology, the Diva Tech Talk.
At 2:15, the guest will be Dan Scripps, a member of the Michigan Public Service Commission, who will update the options that utility customers have on payment assistance during the pandemic.
Finally, from 2:30 to 3 p.m., infectious disease expert Fred Brown will update the latest medical and scientific news on the pandemic. Brown has worked on infectious diseases and pandemics since the 1980s, when he worked on the team that developed the first test for the AIDS virus, and continued to work on disease outbreaks such as Zika, Ebola, and H1N1.
The show is co-hosted by veteran Michigan technology journalists Mike Brennan, owner of the tech news web site MITechNews.com, and Matt Roush, director of media relations at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield. Both have covered the Michigan technology scene for more than 20 years.
