NOVI—The Santa Barbara, Calif.-based trade show firm InformaMarkets, a business unit of London-based Informa PLC, announced that its Battery Show will be postponed to Sept. 14-16, 2021 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.
The company also announced two new virtual offerings, the Battery Show Digital Express on Aug. 12 and the Battery Show & EV Tech Digital Days, coming in November.
“We appreciate your support and patience during this difficult time,” Event Director Jenny McCall told would-be attendees and exhibitors in an email. “ We hope to see you at The Battery Show Digital Express on August 12 and look forward to sharing more about our 2021 live event soon.”
The Battery Show Digital Express is a one-day, free virtual event that will include panel discussions, product demonstrations, and networking events centered around the advanced battery industry. Included will be sessions on thermal management for electric vehicle batteries, fleet electrification, a virtual product showcase, and a virtual speed networking opportunity.

Informa officials said all attendee registrations for the 2020 physical show would be cancelled, and refunds will be processed “in the coming weeks” for paid conference passes. Those who booked and paid for hotel rooms through the conference will also receive refunds.
