TROY—Plex Systems Inc., the Troy-based developer of manufacturing management software, announced that Josh Linkner, a five-time tech entrepreneur, CEO, and New York Times bestselling author, will keynote PowerPlex 2020, the company’s annual user conference.
PowerPlex will be held May 12-14 at the TCF Center in Detroit. This event brings together more than 1,000 manufacturing leaders, industry experts, analysts, media, partners, and consultants to share smart manufacturing best practices, innovations, and to learn about the latest advances in manufacturing technology.
“The manufacturing industry is undergoing significant change, which has disrupted the landscape for businesses as they know it,” said Linkner. “In this rapidly changing environment, the difference between leaders and followers can be defined by their ability to embrace everyday innovation, or applying the principles of innovation to the daily work of all people within an organization.”
Linkner—who started his career as a jazz guitarist—has been the founder and CEO of five tech companies. He is also an experienced business leader, venture capitalist, top-rated keynote speaker, and author of four books, the New York Times bestsellers “Disciplined Dreaming” and “The Road to Reinvention,” as well as his latest book, “Hacking Innovation.”
“Josh’s perspective and success as an entrepreneur and business leader will provide enormous value to our PowerPlex attendees,” said Bill Berutti, CEO of Plex Systems. “Many manufacturing and technology leaders attending PowerPlex 2020 are in the process of implementing innovative practices, processes, and systems to become smart manufacturers. The insights Josh will share, based on his extensive experience, could not come at a better time for companies who are fully embracing the promise of Industry 4.0.”
PowerPlex offers keynote presentations, hands-on workshops, real-world case studies, best practices, and networking opportunities. The event includes more than 80 breakout sessions featuring over 100 manufacturers, thought leaders, and Plex product experts.
