
SOUTHFIELD—The “Leaders and Innovators” business breakfast series at Lawrence Technological University, powered by WWJ Newsradio 950, returns on Thursday, Feb. 27 with a “Crash Course on Women in Leadership.”
Today, more women are working than men but how hard is it for women to move up the corporate ladder. Certified career coach Lila Asante-Appiah will present a free crash course for female professionals. Topics covered will include the importance of mentors in a career, how to recognize opportunities to move forward in an organization, the responsibilities of a manager, and how to engage employees positively and support their career growth.
Other panelists are to include Margaret Anderson, senior vice president and chief sales and marketing officer at HAP, and Terry Barclay, president and CEO of Inforum
The event begins with networking and continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and the program will run from 8 to 9 a.m.
