SOUTHFIELD–The Engineering Society of Detroit will start its annual fall licensing examination review course for the Professional Engineer certification on Saturday, Aug. 24.
Classes are held at ESD Headquarters, 20700 Civic Center Drive, Suite 450, in Southfield.
The courses are held Saturdays through Oct. 5. Classes in civil and environmental engineering are held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Classes in electrical power and mechanical engineering are held from 1 to 4 p.m. The state PE examination date this fall is Friday, Oct. 25.
Since 1941, ESD has successfully prepared thousands of candidates for the PE licensing exam in a variety of disciplines. Engineers who have their PE license enjoy higher salaries and faster career advancement, and become qualified to work independently as a consultant. ESD is so confident in its courses that if attendees do not pass the state exam, they can attend the review course a second time within two years, free, except for a small materials fee.
