Cannabis biz focus of July 15 M2 TechCast

ROYAL OAK — The coming legalization of recreational and industrial marijuana is the focus of the Monday, July 15 edition of the M2 TechCast.

It’s the second week of the program’s new video format at www.podcastdetroit.com.

The show kicks off at 2 p.m. with Anthony Sabatella, president of THC123, a Sterling Heights-based outsourced human resources, staffing, and payroll service provider for cannabis businesses, who will discuss the PR essentials for cannabis microbusinesses.

At 2:15 p.m., Roberta King, owner of Muskegon-based Canna Communication, will cover PR essentials for Cannabis Micro businesses.

At 2:30 p.m., Scott Roberts, principal at Detroit-based Scott F. Roberts Law PLC, will talk about basic requirements and restrictions applicable to the microbusiness license.

The show wraps up at 2:45 p.m. with Kareyna Miller of LC Solutions of Michigan CPAs, who will explain accounting systems setup and taxation of cannabis microbusinesses.

The show is co-hosted by veteran Michigan technology journalists Mike Brennan, owner of the tech news web site MITechNews.com, and Matt Roush, director of media relations at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield. Both have covered the Michigan technology scene for more than 20 years.
