Tech startups, tech law, cybersecurity, IoT on today’s M2 TechCast

ROYAL OAK—The Monday, June 24 edition of the M2 TechCast will feature a look at tech startups, tech law, cybersecurity and the Internet of Things.

The show, which can be heard Mondays at 2 p.m. Eastern time, kicks off with regular guest Tember Shea from Invest Detroit Ventures, who will interview one of her clients, Sergio Rodriguez, co-founder and CEO of ToDoolie, a marketplace to hire local students to help with simple household and outdoor tasks.

At 2:15, the guest is tech law expert Enrico Schaefer, who will discuss his new Detroit office, where he works with connected vehicle companies and entrepreneurs.

At 2:30, it’s Raj Das, a principle in management consulting for the CPA firm Plante Moran, who will update listeners on the latest cybersecurity threats.

The show wraps up at 2:45 p.m. with Monish Jirge, host of Rebound Detroit, who will explain the importance of the IoT ecosystem in southeast Michigan and its impact on the Michigan economy.

The M2 TechCast airs live from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern time every Monday at www.podcastdetroit.com. Podcasts of earlier shows are also available there, as well as on MITechNews.com and other podcast distribution web sites, from Soundcloud to iTunes. It’s co-hosted by veteran Michigan technology journalists Mike Brennan, owner of the tech news web site MITechNews.com, and Matt Roush, director of media relations at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield. Both have covered the Michigan technology scene for more than 20 years.
