Alpine Power buys GR industrial battery firm

REDFORD TWP.—Alpine Power Systems Inc. announced the acquisition of the assets of Battcom Inc., an industrial battery provider based in the Grand Rapids suburb of Grandville.

Battcom was founded in 2015 by Larry and Jennifer Grimm. Larry Grimm has more than 20 years of experience serving the power needs of the material handling industry. He will become Alpine’s senior sales manager responsible for sales in western Michigan.

The combined Alpine and Battcom teams will continue to serve the west side of Michigan from Alpine’s office at 5304 Clay Ave. SW in the Grand Rapids suburb of Wyoming.
