Centrepolis Accelerator clients, programs highlight May 20 M2TechCast

ROYAL OAK—Two physical-product companies working with a business accelerator at Lawrence Technological University, a hardware tech event co-sponsored by that accelerator, and the latest on Oakland County’s tech networking group Tech248.

That’s the lineup for the Monday, May 20 edition of the M2TechCast, a technology news podcast hosted by Mike Brennan, founder and publisher of the tech news website MITechNews.com, and Matt Roush, director of media relations at LTU.

The M2TechCast is available on the internet at 2 p.m. Eastern time Mondays, live from the studios of PodcastDetroit.com in Royal Oak. Earlier segments are available at MITechNews.com, SoundCloud, iTunes and other podcast outlets.

Kicking off the May 20 show at 2 p.m. is Jerrett Schlaff, CEO of Pingree Detroit, who will talk about his custom leather goods business that works with veterans. Pingree Detroit is a client of the Centrepolis Accelerator, a physical-product business accelerator run by LTU and the city of Southfield on LTU’s campus.

At 2:15 p.m., Mike and Matt will interview Amanda Roraff, operators manager at PlanetM, the state of Michigan’s mobility industry accelerator, who will discuss PlanetM’s Hardware Tech Summit, to be held June 19 during Detroit Startup Week. Centrepolis Accelerator is a co-sponsor of the summit.

At 2:30, Greg Doyle, manager of Tech248, outlines the future of the Oakland County high-tech networking group.

The show wraps up at 2:45 with Gina Adams, founder of Buttons2Button, who will announce an Indiegogo funding campaign aimed at expanding the market for her fasteners designed for people with disabilities.
