TROY—Weyv, an app platform created by the Troy-based technology developer Altair Engineering Inc., announced that users can now listen to podcasts in the Weyv app, along with the music, magazines and e-books already on the site.
“To continue to deliver on our multi-content commitment, we are thrilled to expand our library to include podcasts,” said Stephanie Scapa, CEO of WEYV. “As has been consistent with our other content offerings and new app features and integrations, this expansion is a direct result of feedback from our users.”
As with the robust music offerings in WEYV, users can:
- Browse podcast categories such as kids and family, technology, business, news, comedy, sports and recreation, and more
- Download podcasts to be made available offline when an internet connection is not available, like on a flight or road trip
Users also can subscribe to podcast shows, edit subscription settings and control their listening experience with features like -15-second and +30-second skip functionality.
WEYV is available as an ad-free, subscription-based app that allows users unlimited access to music, podcasts, magazines and children’s e-books.
More content will be added to WEYV on a rolling basis. WEYV is available for a 14-day free trial and can be accessed by U.S.-based users via the App Store, Google Play and the WEYV website.
