DETROIT—The National Society of Black Engineers is holding its 45th annual convention March 27-31 at Cobo Center in Detroit. More than 15,000 practicing and aspiring engineers are expected to attend, making it the largest NSBE convention ever held.
The theme of the event is “Explore, engineer, elevate.” The event will showcase professionals and students with a passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and who are channeling that dedication to advance their communities, their professions, and society at large. The event will also encourage members to explore the culture of Detroit.
Topics to be covered by speakers and panel discussions range far and wide, from the latest in industrial and quality engineering to new trends in engineering education to cybersecurity to software development. There will also be special-interest group meetings and recreational opportunities from dancing to yoga, as well as career development sessions.
