M2 TechCast features all-woman guest lineup on entrepreneurship, game design

ROYAL OAK — It wasn’t intended, but the Monday, March 18 edition of the M2 TechCast will feature an all-woman guest lineup on a variety of important tech topics.

The show begins at 2 p.m. Eastern time with veteran Detroit-area tech figure Kathleen Norton-Schock giving us the latest on the Michigan Council of Women in Technology, as well as her podcast, Diva Tech Talk.

At 2:15 p.m., Tember Shea of Invest Detroit will be our guest interviewer, chatting with Fares Ksebati, co-founder and CEO of MySwimPro, an Invest Detroit portfolio company.

At 2:30, we’ll hear from Lawrence Technological University students Emily Auten and Carissa Vadella about the April 20 LTU Expo. Formerly known as the LTU Anime and Gaming Expo, it’s a free event that celebrates a unique blend of gaming, cosplay, and anime culture.

The show wraps up at 2:45 with Monica Wheat, who will introduce her Backstage Accelerator for minorities and other groups that have difficulty getting funding.

The M2 TechCast airs live from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern time every Monday at www.podcastdetroit.com. Podcasts of earlier shows are also available there, as well as on other podcast distribution web sites, from Soundcloud to iTunes. It’s co-hosted by veteran Michigan technology journalists Mike Brennan, owner of the tech news web site MITechNews.com, and Matt Roush, director of media relations at Lawrence Tech in Southfield. Both have covered the Michigan technology scene for more than 20 years.
