AT&T boosts 4G network coverage in UP

DETROIT — AT&T Inc. announced it has added a new cell tower to its 4G LTE network in the Upper Peninsula community of Soo Junction.

The addition will improve network coverage in the area M-28, west of M-123 in the Upper Peninsula.

The tower is located in Luce County’s Pentland Township.

AT&T Michigan President David Lewisnoted that “by building out our 4G LTE network, we are laying the foundation for 5G, the next advance in network technologies. We’re boosting network speeds and capacity, as we continue to expand the availability and capacity of our network using the latest technology.”
