ESD to host free PE license exam info session

SOUTHFIELD — The Engineering Society of Detroit will host a free information session on its Professional Engineering license examination preparation classes on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

The session runs from noon to 1 p.m. at ESD Headquarters, 20700 Civic Center Drive, Suite 450, in Southfield. Lunch will be provided.

At the session, engineering professionals will be on hand to answer questions and provide information needed to get started on the path to licensure.

The session will cover why engineers should consider becoming a PE, state examination registration deadlines, requirements and processes for completing state applications, recommended study materials and steps for preparing for the exams, ESD’s review courses for the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) and PE (Professional Engineer) licenses, and real-life experiences form PEs who have taken the exam and passed.
