DETROIT – AT&T Inc. announced it had boosted its mobile internet coverage at Beaumont Hospital’s Royal Oak and Troy locations by improving coverage through distributed antenna systems, which means a better mobile experience for employees, patients, visitors and their families.
A distributed antenna system (DAS) is made of numerous, small antennas that distribute AT&T wireless network coverage to provide extra cellular capacity and shorten the distance a call or text must travel. Simply put, calls, texts and posts are less likely to get stuck in a data “traffic jam.”
There is a DAS specifically dedicated to each campus, giving employees, patients and visitors stronger connections throughout the facilities.
