
DETROIT — “An Evening with EWB Detroit,” a black-tie fundraising gala for the local chapter of Engineers Without Borders, will be held Friday, June 8 beginning at 6 p.m. in the ballroom of the Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle.
Comedian Jason Douglas will serve as master of ceremonies for the evening. Also included will be a cocktail hour, live music, a red carpet photo opportunity, a three-course dinner, a silent auction and raffle, and a comedy show from Douglas.
Tickets are available at ewb-detroit.org/events/gala. The ticket price includes two drink tickets and valet service.
Proceeds from the event will support EWB’s ongoing projects to dig new wells to provide clean water to communities in El Salvador and Guatemala, in areas where residents are now forced to use contaminated water. Douglas has appeared on Comedy Central’s Laugh Riots, as well as Sirius XM satellite radio, and ESPN.
