TEDxDetroit returns Sept. 26 at The Masonic

DETROIT — TEDxDetroit will return Wednesday, Sept. 26 for a special 10th anniversary event at The Masonic in Detroit.

Tickets are on sale now at TEDxDetroit.com for a day of ideas, innovation, and inspiration.

TEDxDetroit had its start in a 300-seat auditorium at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield in 2009. In the years since, it’s grown into venues including the DIA, Orchestra Hall, The Gem Theatre, Cobo Center, the Detroit Opera House, the Fox Theatre, and the Charles Wright Museum of African-American History.

TEDxDetroit organizers say they’re gathering Detroit’s creators, entrepreneurs, educators, artists, geeks, designers, scientists and leaders back together for another mind-expanding event that will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are now on sale at TEDxDetroit.com to the general public for $75. The speaker applications are open as well.

TEDxLabs will be back this year with an expanded array of hands-on tech exhibits, live artists, local chefs and interesting Detroit area businesses. Docent led behind-the-scenes tours of The Masonic will also be available. And we’re putting together a fascinating roster of speakers to challenge the status quo and stretch the boundaries of possibility. It’s going to be an inspiring and though-provoking day in Detroit.
