LTU, WWJ to host ‘Leaders and Innovators’ breakfast on workplace harassment

Lawrence Technological University will host a “Leaders and Innovators” business breakfast panel discussion on the topic of workplace harassment – an issue taken from today’s headlines that could not be more timely.

The event will take place Thursday, Nov. 16, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the University Technology and Learning Center Gallery, LTU Campus, 21000 W. Ten Mile Road, Southfield, MI 48075 (campus map)

The moderator will be Murray Feldman, business editor at WWJ Newsradio 950, which has been holding “Leaders and Innovators” events at LTU for more than a decade. Panelists will be Patrick F. Hickey, a partner specializing in business and employment litigation at the Detroit law firm Hickey Hauck Bishoff & Jeffers PLLC; Courtney Nichols, labor and employment law practice group leader at the Bloomfield Hills law firm Plunkett Cooney; and David Stone, president and co-founder, Trion Solutions Inc., a Troy-based provider of human resources administration.

The issue of workplace harassment has dominated the news in recent weeks, with allegations surfacing against celebrities, politicians, and prominent business people. How should employers and employees handle these issues? How do businesses create a positive workplace and a harassment-free environment? The panel will tackle these and other issues.

The event is free but preregistration is requested. To register, visit http://detroit.cbslocal.com/wwjs-leaders-innovators-series-2017-2018/
