
SOUTHFIELD – A look from the front lines at women in business leadership is the next installment in the WWJ Newsradio 950 Leaders and Innovators Series, in partnership with Lawrence Technological University
The “Women in Leadership” program will be held Thursday, Oct. 19 at LTU’s University Technology and Learning Center Gallery, 21000 W. 10 Mile Road, Southfield. (See www.ltu.edu/map.) The program begins with networking and a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m., with the programming running from 8 to 9 a.m.
The program will cover the triumphs, challenges, and pitfalls women experience during their careers, as well as efforts to support young women as they begin and continue along their career paths.
WWJ Business Editor Murray Feldman will moderate the discussion. Panelists are to include Ric Devore, regional president for Detroit and Southeastern Michigan at PNC Bank, who is a PNC-certified women’s business advocate; Anne Doyle, author of “Powering Up! How America’s Women Achievers Become Leaders,” and a women’s leadership consultant; and Denise Ilitch, president of Detroit-based Ilitch Enterprises LLC, a member of the University of Michigan Board of Regents, owner of Denise Ilitch Designs, and co-owner of the 220 Merrill restaurant in Birmingham.
