
MUSKEGON — The Muskegon-based LED lighting manufacturer EarthTronics Inc. has introduced a 17-watt PAR (parabolic aluminized reflector) lamp for both 120-volt and 277-volt systems.
The new PAR38 EarthBulb LED floodlight replaces 120-watt incandescent floodlights, saving more than 85 percent on energy. The lamp is capable of operating on 120 or 277 volt circuits.
The floodlight features an advanced cooling system that provides for 25,000 hours of LED life.
With the appearance of a halogen light source, its chipset provides halogen-like light with a color temperature of 3,000 degrees Kelvin and a high color rendering rating of more than 80. The lamp is also available in a 5,000-Kelvin daylight version.
The company said the lamp is suitable for outdoor use in damp locations, when not directly exposed ot weather, including outdoor flood, recessed, track and display lighting applications. It also offers smooth dimming technology to less than 5 percent on standard controls.
