GRAND RAPIDS — The Grand Rapids-based connectivity and managed services provider US Signal says it will host a series of Midwest Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Summit meetings this fall in Midwest cities.
The series of single day events will provide information on cloud-based business continuity and disaster recovery, data protection, and related topics, to help businesses optimize the reliability, availability and use of data and IT services within their organizations.

According to Amanda Regnerus, vice president of marketing and product development at US Signal, the force behind hosting the summit is the growing importance of protecting data for businesses of all sizes.
“Increasingly, data has become integral to the success of SMBs and enterprises across all industries in what many industry experts are referring to as a ‘digital transformation economy’,” Regnerus said. “At the same time, the explosive growth of data, forecast by International Data Corporation to reach 44 zettabytes by 2020, as well as increasing cybercrime and other factors, have made it more difficult for many companies to maintain the robust, resilient IT environments necessary for ensuring the integrity and availability of their data. By bringing together industry experts and thought leaders to share their insights and ideas, we hope to help organizations understand the importance of BC/DR planning and the critical role that cloud-based solutions can play in their BC/DR strategies.”
