DETROIT — AT&T Inc. said it is now covering more of several areas of Michigan with improved 4G LTE service.
The upgrades, which included additional capacity on more than 30 cell towers, will affect the following areas:
* Auburn Hills — east of I-75, near Telegraph Road
* Belleville — north of Willow and Rawsonville roads
* Clawson — near East 14 Mile Road and North Main Street
* Clinton Township, two sites — 15 Mile Road and Groesbeck Highway, and 16 Mile Road and M-3
* Dearborn Heights (two sites) — at Ford Road (M-153) between Beech Daly and John Daly roads, and near Van Born and Inkster roads
* East Lansing — Hagadorn Road, near Eyde Parkway
* Eastpointe — Vernier Road and M-3
* Farmington Hills — along Grand River Avenue, between Drake and Gill roads
* Ferndale — at Clairmont Avenue and M-10
* Hamtramck — near Joseph Campau Avenue and Denton Street
* Harper Woods — at Beaconsfield Street and Vernier Road
* Inkster — along Michigan Avenue (US-12) between Middlebelt and Henry Ruff roads
* Lansing — I-69 at Lansing Road
* New Boston — Pennsylvania Road, west of I-275
* Novi — Between West 10 and 11 Mile roads, along Novi Road
* Pontiac — near Stanley Avenue and Telegraph Road
* Ray — between Romeo Plank and Ray Center roads, along 29 Mile Road
* Redford Township — near Telegraph and West Chicago roads
* Richmond — at School Section Road and M-19
* Romulus — near Eureka and Merriman roads
* Roseville — at Hayes Road and I-696
* Rothbury — east of US-31, near South Water Road
* Royal Oak — at East 12 Mile Road and North Main Street
* Shelby Township — near Dequindre Road and M-59
* Southfield — along 12 Mile Road, west of Telegraph Road
* Trenton — near West Road and Lathrop Street
* Troy (two sites) — at Crooks and West Maple roads, and an area south of East Wattles Road east of Livernois Road
* Van Buren Township – near Sumpter and Hull roads
* Waterford Township — the area surrounding Cass, Elizabeth, Hiller and Coomer roads
AT&T says it invested more than $60 million in its wireless and wired networks in Michigan between 2013 through 2015, driving a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and performance for residents and business customers.
