AT&T Brings Faster Network To More Of West Michigan

DETROIT — AT&T Inc. Friday announced it had activated an upgrade to bring faster speeds to more than 65 cell sites in Kent, Ottawa, Cass and Allegan counties and surrounding areas.

People using the network in these locations should see better service when they’re watching videos, posting to social media or texting family and friends. The cell sites are located in parts of several communities, including:

* Adamsville
* Allendale
* Cedar Springs
* Coopersville
* Edwardsburg
* Ferrysburg
* Grand Rapids
* Holland
* Martin
* Saugatuck
* Union
* Wayland
* Zeeland

People using those towers will be using an expanded band of radio frequencies. That means greater speeds and additional capacity.

AT&T says it has invested nearly $1.65 billion in its wireless and wired networks in Michigan between 2013 through 2015, driving a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and performance for residents and business customers.
