ANN ARBOR — Arbormoon Software Inc., in cooperation with Ann Arbor Spark, Friday released the A2 Tech Trek app, for the A2 Tech Trek Friday, June 17.
Available for both iOS and Android, this app adds another layer of “tech” to the Tech Trek with features highlighted by automated check-in via beacon technology.
The A2 Tech Trek, Friday from 3 to 7 p.m., offers a walking tour of downtown Ann Arbor technology companies, which have opened their doors to the public for the event. There are more than 50 participating companies. More at www.annarborusa.org/tech-trek.
Participants on the A2 Tech Trek will find themselves automatically checked in through the app the moment they arrive at any of the participating locations. Other features in the app include the directory of companies in the trek along with summaries of what they do, the ability for participants to designate favorites, view all of the venues on a virtual map of Ann Arbor, and easily see which places they’ve gone and which they have yet to visit.
Arbormoon Software, Inc. has long been an avid supporter of the local community, hosting multiple tech meetups in its office, including CocoaHeads, Mobile Monday, and a Google Developer Group.
