GR, Howell RFID Firms In New Partnership

GRAND RAPIDS — Radley Corp., a Grand Rapids-provider of manufacturing execution systems and warehouse systems software, announced a technology partnership with Howell-based Smart Label Solutions, a provider of hardware and software for radio-frequency identification and barcode inventory control systems.

Radley said the partnership will provide its customers access to a comprehensive set of RFID services, software, hardware and supplies.

“Continuing to expand our RFID technology product platform opens the door for many of our current customers to consider RFID in the coming years and will also help us succeed in future opportunities,” said David Barks, senior vice president of Radley.

Barks said Smart Label Slutions’ “experience, history in the industry and understanding of RFID technology will be invaluable during RFID project implementations.”

RFID uses radio to identify an object, generally through electronic tags placed on an object that activate in the presence of low-level radio waves.

Radley’s software, which captures data throughout an organization’s processes whether utilizing traditional bar codes, machine integration or RFID, allows users to have access to real-time data across the supply chain that can be integrated into an ERP or business systems.

“The collaboration of our consulting and hardware experience with Radley’s software platform creates a sophisticated end-to-end RFID solution offering,” said SLS President Jeff Hudson.

Radley Corp. will show an SLS portal at the RFID Journal Live conference and exhibition May 3-5 in Orlando, Fla. in booth 112. SLS will also be at the show in booth 1042.
