Orbitak Hosting Project Management Event

Lawrence Technological University will host a global project management conference April 13 and 14.

The conference, “GPMC 2016: The Globalized Project Management Competence Conference,” is being organized by orbitak International of Bingham Farms.

Orbitak, founded in 2006 as an affiliate of Germany’s orbitak AG, provides management consulting and operational services in quality development, project management and product development. Its client list includes manufacturers like Volkswagen, Siemens, Federal Mogul, Hella, Kostal, VDI (German Society of Engineers) and others, along with service providers and government-affiliated organizations like the Michigan Economic Development Corp.

Its consultants provide mentorship, coaching and other project management and classic consultant services to the company’s clients. The orbitak team has a variety of experiences and competence in everything from manufacturing and education to IT and logistics.

The conference at LTU will address the challenges of globalized project management, educational competencies and certification, and will discuss innovative approaches and successful solutions to complex projects. High-level speakers add an additional level of attractiveness to anyone working in a project-based environment.

Besides LTU, event partners and sponsors include The Engineering Society of Detroit, Siemens, Dürr Group, International Project Management Association USA, KM Fest, the Detroit Society of Human Resource Management, Greening Detroit, and Oakland County.
