
ANN ARBOR — Michigan Robotics Day will be held Tuesday, April 5 at the University of Michigan’s North Campus Research Complex.
The event will feature a technical keynote from Dr. Wolfram Burgard, professor of computer science at the University of Freiburg, Germany, and leader of the research lab for autonomous intelligent systems.
Ford Motor Co. is the exclusive automotive sponsor of Michigan Robotics Day.
The event will also feature a tour of the University of Michigan’s MCity, a dedicated research center for evaluating the capabilities of connected and automated vehicles and systems.
Also, hundreds of robots will be on hand with many demonstrations planned during the afternoon MCity tour and demonstration.
The event is free, although registration is required. It’s open to all ages as well. It will feature advances in robotics from Michigan companies and research organizations, and will show how students at the collegiate and high school levels are involved with these exciting new technologies. Included will be flying, rolling, and swimming robots
