
TROY — Automation Alley will hold its annual Technology Industry Outlook for the Detroit area Monday, Feb. 22 at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
The event will also feature the Technology Center Partner Spotlight, featuring technology demonstrations from Detroit-area technology companies, including DASI Solutions, Delray Systems, Geometric Solutions, PROLIM, PTC, Rave Computer, Tata Technologies, Tooling U-SME and Wenzel America.
Demonstrations will include collaborative robotics, 3D printing and scanning, CAD, PLM, MSV and reverse engineering applications.
The demonstrations and a strolling breakfast will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Great Hall of the DIA.
At 10 a.m., an expert panel will discuss and analyze the 2016 Technology Industry Report on the topic “Detroit vs. Silicon Valley.” Panelists include Jeff Green, Detroit bureau chief of Bloomberg News; Louay Chamra, Ph.D., dean of the school of engineering and computer science at Oakland University; Tom Kelly, COO and director of entrepreneurship at Automation Alley; and Irene Spanos, director of economic development and community affairs at Oakland County.
