ESD Program Helps You Protect Your Family From Insurance Gaps

SOUTHFIELD — Most people take the time to find the best auto or homeowner’s insurance. But what about disability insurance, which would replace lost income if you were unable to work? And what about life insurance? Without your salary, would your spouse be able to pay the mortgage? Would the college fund continue to grow?

Since most Americans get their insurance from employer-sponsored plans, it’s important that they discover the gaps in their current benefits.

The Engineering Society of Detroit will present a member benefit program, “Protect Yourself And Your Family — Discover The Hidden Gaps In Your Insurance Coverage,” on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at ESD Headquarters in Southfield.

The program begins with registration and networking at 5:15 p.m. The program runs from 6 to 7 p.m. ESD Headquarters is at 20700 Civic Center Drive, Suite 450, in Southfield.

The presenter, Bruce Kaufman, ChFC, employee benefits specialist at Hartland Insurance Group, will educate participants on the common gaps many of us have in our insurance coverages, and what choices we have to keep ourselves and our families covered sufficiently.

The program is free to ESD members. Non-membesr may attend for $20, or join ESD for $55 (a 44 percent discount) and attend the program for free. (This offer is for new, first-time members only.)
