TROY — The business intelligence dashboards developer iDashboards announced a partnership with Kroger Co. and the American Cancer Society to create a specialty dashboard showcasing fundraising efforts in the fight against breast cancer.
The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer dashboard will display each Kroger store’s progress toward the company’s ultimate goal of raising $600,000 in Michigan for breast cancer research by Nov. 30.
“We identified the opportunity to apply our data visualization
software to help important charitable causes realize the true
value of their data,” iDashboards founder and CEO Shadan Malik said in a statement. “Our goal for this initiative is to help
individuals recognize the need for financial support and
showcase Kroger’s admirable efforts to fight breast cancer at
a statewide level.”
Through the dashboard, users can easily read each Kroger
store’s details on their fundraising efforts, specific amounts of
money raised in each county throughout southeast Michigan
and the top 10 teams that are participating in the event and
their amount raised. The dashboard offers visually engaging,
easy-to-read, in-depth insight into Kroger’s overall progress
toward their goal.
“The American Cancer Society Making Strides initiative allows all of our locations throughout the state to participate and make a real difference,” said Brandon Barrow, consumer affairs manager of the Kroger Co. of Michigan. “Partnering with iDashboards will allow us to help raise awareness of breast cancer and Kroger’s efforts that help ACS fund groundbreaking breast cancer research.”
iDashboards had a team of 22 employees that walked in the
Making Strides Detroit event on Saturday, Oct. 10. The
company hosted internal events to raise funds, including a
bake sale, loose change drive and Field Day, with a goal of
donating $5,000 for the cause.
