ANN ARBOR — Two Ann Arbor software companies, Aysling LLC and Juggernaut LLC, Monday announced a merger.
Aysling, nearing its 10th anniversary, says it is branching out beyond selling and managing Adobe and WoodWing digital publishing software and digital media production services and into a partnership with Juggernaut where Aysling will own, manage, and sell the customer relationship management software that Juggernaut develops.
The two companies have 32 employees total and all will remain after the merger. Company spokeswoman Emily Kania said the company is also seeking to hire software engineers and business development staff.
She also said the two companies have been sharing office space for several years and will continue to do business in their current location, in the former Borders World Headquarters building at 100 Phoenix Drive.
Aysling will be the surviving company after the merger. Other terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.
“This is Aysling’s first opportunity to own a product and we couldn’t be more enthusiastic,” said Aysling president and CEO Patrick Becker. “We’ve worked closely with the folks at Juggernaut for years and the merger is a perfect syncing of the two companies. Aysling’s expertise in project management and sales is a great complement to Juggernaut’s development expertise, and vice versa.”
Commercialized in 2013, Juggernaut develops two products: MagHub, a full-service magazine publishing tool with robust CRM capabilities, and Juggernaut CRM, a CRM tool built for small to medium businesses of all types. Juggernaut CRM is a new product and is being released to the market today at www.jcrm.com. Both products are in the cloud and sold on a subscription basis. Juggernaut’s publishing clients include Cities West Publishing, MetroParent Magazine, i5, Moffly Media, Werner, and more.
“As we introduce Juggernaut CRM to the marketplace, the merger with Aysling is perfect timing,” said Juggernaunt president Rudy Pataro. “Both the MagHub and Juggernaut CRM products will benefit from added sales support and potential cross-sell opportunities to Aysling’s customer base. We’re proud of the work we’ve done on Juggernaut CRM and are excited to have Aysling’s support going forward.”
A WoodWing Platinum Authorized Solution partner and the top reseller of Adobe DPS in 2014, Aysling delivers a multi-channel distribution system for exceptional content creation and delivery to print, Web, iPad, tablets, and mobile markets. The company was founded in 2005 and is proud to have worked with brands like Amway, Angie’s List, Forbes, Hearst, Meredith, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Time, The United Nations and many others.
