SOUTHFIELD — It’s last call for presentation proposals for the 2015 DTE Energy – Engineering Society of Detroit Energy Conference and Exhibition, set for Tuesday, May 5 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.
The deadline for presentation abstracts is Friday, Jan. 30.
Those with expertise in energy technologies are invited to submit a
presentation proposal. Presentation time slots are 30 minutes and can feature a case study or proven example that addresses any of the following topics:
* Emerging technology that reduces energy consumption
* Energy optimization
* Financial issues
* Mechanical issues
* Project management
Now in its 18th year, this conference — the only one of its kind in Michigan — is designed to educate businesses in all industries and of all sizes on energy technology, products, and services that will assist them in successful energy management. The event draws close to 800 people every year.
Attendees of the event include building owners, property managers, facilities directors, engineers and managers, electrical engineers, HVAC engineers, energy managers, maintenance engineers and managers, plant engineers, plant managers, purchasing managers, safety and environmental managers, warehouse managers and small business owners.
Potential presenters are invited to submit an abstract of their oral presentation that is no longer than two paragraphs, noting which of the five topics above the presentation addresses.
Applications should clearly present a topic that is related to energy efficiency and outline the benefits attendees will take away from the presentation.
Email your presentation abstract — including title, author, affiliation and email address — in PDF or Word format to Leslie Smith, CMP, at lsmith@esd.org by Friday, Jan. 30.
If your presentation is accepted by the Energy Conference Planning
Committee, you will be notified of your acceptance by Friday, Feb. 13.
