
ATLANTA, Ga. — Birch Communications Inc. Monday announced the opening of a new sales office in Livonia.
Founded in 1996, Birch provides Internet Protocol-based communications, broadband, cloud and IT services to businesses. The company has 200,000 mostly business customers in all 50 states and Canada, and about 1,400 employees.
Birch offers 31,000 fiber route miles and has established fiber service in nearly 600 major buildings around the country. The company also operates six data centers.
The new office occupies 2,305 square-feet of space in the Laurel Office Park III building located at 17197 North Laurel Park Drive, Suite 281, Livonia, Michigan. The office is newly occupied by a direct sales force and will be fully staffed within six months. Birch also has an indirect and enterprise sales force through channel partners currently operating in Detroit.
Birch’s regional general manager of direct sales, Michael Perrone, will be leading the new Detroit sales team.
