Entrepreneurship Event Set For January

ANN ARBOR — The 15th Annual Collaboration for Entrepreneurship, ACE ’15, has been set for Thursday, Jan. 29 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Burton Manor Conference Center, 27777 Schoolcraft Road in Livonia.

The year’s biggest tech startup event will draw a crowd of top entrepreneurs, innovators and business leaders from around the Great Lakes region to network, learn and connect. Attend ACE ’15 and hear leading experts, watch the ACE Elevator Pitch Competition, and meet keynote presenter Jules Pieri, founder of The Grommet, the Boston-based online marketplace for makers’ unique products.

Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to have an exhibit table at the event and participate in the ACE Challenge. Make hundreds of key connections and put your startup in front of the largest audience — more than 900 people are expected — representing the entrepreneurial community in Michigan.

More than 130 sessions will be available for entrepreneurs to have 20-minute, one-on-one consultations with experts on sales, marketing, funding, intellectual property, business startup, entrepreneurship and more.

Entrepreneurs looking for investment and technology oriented, web-based or intellectual property centric should apply for high value exposure to the Michigan entrepreneurial ecosystem. Apply at http://ace-event.org/exhibitors-2/. Exhibitors get two admission tickets, a skirted table, listing in the ACE’15 program guide and an invitation to the afterglow reception. Early registration fees apply through Dec. 31.

The ACE Challenge, meanwhile, is an opportunity for early stage tech startups to get help with executive summaries and presentations for sales, investment or recruiting talent. Applicants will need to provide contact information, a few questions regarding current phase of development and a beginning five page executive summary. Coaches from both the New Enterprise Forum and the SBDC Tech Team will provide a structure and feedback to improve the executive summary and presentations. The 10 teams chosen will present at the evening program for ACE’15 on Jan. 29 in Livonia. Apply for the ACE Challenge at this link.
