EAST LANSING — On the final day of the 2014 Engineering Society of Detroit Tech Tour, ESD Director of Communications and Public Relations Matt Roush talked solar energy with Dr. Richard R. Lunt, Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at Michigan State University.

Lunt has combined a chemical used to dye blue jeans blue and a form of carbon found in soot to create an inexpensive solar cell material that works almost as well as the expensive silicon stuff. Hear the details in this report.
