AT&T Expands 4G LTE In East Michigan

DETROIT — AT&T has beefed up its 4G LTE network in several areas of Detroit, and added new service areas in Flint, Milan and the Tawas City area.

In Detroit, the expansion improves 4G coverage in Detroit in the area between Brush, Gratiot and St. Antoine streets. Those who live and work near Oakland Avenue and west of I-75 and west of Mt. Elliot Street and east of Conant Street may notice the upgraded network. Also, a new mobile site in the city, near Livernois Avenue and M-10, allows for better mobile internet and LTE capabilities.

AT&T also said it had expanded its 4G LTE network in Flint. It’s now available at South Dye Road, west of Court Street and north of M-21. In nearby Bancroft, 4G LTE is covered in areas south of Lehring Road between Grand River and Reed Roads.

New site builds in the area will also result in stronger coverage in Flint near South Dye and Corunna Roads and in Fenton along US-23 between Lahring and East Rolston Roads.

AT&T also expanded the 4G network to Milan. The improvements will be most noticed east of U.S.-23 and near Milan-Oakville Road.
Also, 4G has been expanded to Iosco County in the Tawas City area, and in the town of Turner in Arenac County. The 4G LTE service improvements will be noticed along US-23 between Alabaster Road and Twining Road.
