Time Running Out To Sign Up For CBS Radio Tour With ESD

SOUTHFIELD — CBS Radio Detroit’s new high-tech studios in Southfield are the destination for the next Engineering Society of Detroit members-only tour Wednesday, Oct. 8. And makers, be sure to circle Oct. 22 on your calendars for a tour of TechShop in Allen Park.

You can join ESD Oct. 8 for an insider’s look at the newsroom of Michigan’s only all-news radio station, WWJ Newsradio 950.

Newsrooms know what’s happening before anyone else does around the clock. And you can watch the “first draft of history” in the maknig, as WWJ’s dedidcated, award-winning staff assembles the news broadcast that gets metro Detroit home from work.

Not only that, but the new, high-tech home of WWJ is also home to CBS Radio’s other stations in the Detroit market – 97.1 The Ticket sports talk, 104.3 WOMC Detroit’s Greatest Hits, 99.5 WYCD Detroit’s Best Country, and 98.7 Amp Radio, with “more hit music every hour.” You never know which DJ or musician you might bump into on this fun tour. And there’s also a close look at plenty of cool electronics needed to get radio on the air and over the web, too.

The tour begins with registration at 4 p.m. and the tour itself from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The TechShop Allen Park tour, meanwhile, is Wednesday, Oct. 22. Registration begins at 3:30 p.m. with the tour from 4 to 5 p.m.
