ESD Offers Professional Engineer Licensing Review Courses

SOUTHFIELD — Attention engineers! This fall, make a commitment to re-energize and grow your career by enrolling in The Engineering Society of Detroit’s proven Professional Engineer Licensing Review Courses.

Since 1941, ESD has successfully helped thousands of engineers prepare for the state licensing exam in a variety of disciplines ranging from civil and environmental to mechanical and electrical engineering. Students learn in a small, classroom-like setting from instructors who have first-hand knowledge of the course material. ESD’s 70-plus years of experience will help participants pass the state exam on the first try.

The schedule for the courses is:

FE (Part I) Review Courses, Sept. 2 – Nov. 6
The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Part I Review Course provides 84 hours of instruction in engineering fundamentals for candidates planning to take Part I of the Professional Engineers Exam. Sessions are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Saturdays (morning or afternoon depending on discipline).

PE (Part II) Review Courses, Aug. 23 – Oct. 11
The Principles & Practice of Engineering (PE) Part II Review Courses consists of 28 hours of instruction, on seven half-day Saturday sessions, focusing on problem solving techniques needed for the Professional Engineers (Part II) exam.

All classes are held at ESD headquarters, 20700 Civic Center Drive, Suite 450, in Southfield.

The state PE exam will be held Oct. 24. The state FE exam can be taken online throughout the year.

ESD’s Review Courses feature expert professional instructors, practice problems and performance analysis. They’re highly rated by former students. And we’re so confident that participants will pass the state licensing exam on the first try that if they don’t — they can take the course again free (with only a small fee for materials).
