DETROIT — The Henry Ford Innovation Institute is seeking talented individuals with a passion for healthcare innovation to become leaders in the growing field.
Under the Davidson Fellowship for Entrepreneurs in Digital Health, the Fellows will be educated and trained for one year, beginning in September 2014. Fellows will be asked to commit up to 12 hours per month to the Fellowship.
Applications are due by June 26.
“The demand for innovation in healthcare is greater than in any other industry in the country right now,” said Henry Ford Health System CEO Scott Dulchavsky, M.D. “The Davidson Fellowship not only offers a unique opportunity for personal development among the participants, but also serves as an economic catalyst for the region.”
Fellows will be selected from an applicant pool of Henry Ford Health System employees and select businesses, start-ups and nonprofit organizations located in metro Detroit.
The Innovation Institute will select 12 to 15 Fellows with a passion for healthcare innovation, an entrepreneurial spirit and diverse professional experiences that will add to the education of their peers. The Fellowship will provide a unique educational program, exploring innovative and entrepreneurial approaches to critical healthcare challenges.
The Davidson Fellowship for Entrepreneurs in Digital Health is presented with support from the Davidson Center for Entrepreneurs in Digital Health at the Institute.
The Henry Ford Innovation Institute’s mission is to enhance patient care through research, training, and commercialization opportunities across Henry Ford Health System. It provides technological opportunity assessment, engineering services for prototypes, seminars designed to convey opportunities, programs aimed at developing specific medical products and broad educational offerings in the realms of translational medicine and the entrepreneurial arts.
