DETROIT — The IT consultancy C/D/H with offices in Detroit and Grand Rapids has merged with Rochester-based Coil Group, giving C/D/H a thriving mobility and user experience practice to add to its SharePoint, application development and enterprise architecture services.
C/D/H officials said Coil Group president Jim Brown, developers Scott Holliday and Jim Poponea and sales director Amy Murphy would all be joining C/D/H’s Detroit office in the Madison Block tech area.
“We’ve known Jim for over seven years and have been very impressed by the impact The Coil Group has made in the area of enterprise mobility,” C/D/H partner Paul Hillman said. “His experience goes back to the early 2000’s when they were rolling out mobile solutions for B2B sellers.”
Added Brown: “C/D/H has a customer first approach to solving business problems and growing strong for nearly 25 years. I’ve worked with every enterprise class consulting firm in Michigan and when I formed The Coil Group I tried to emulate what made C/D/H great. Now we have the chance to do this together and I’m just thrilled about the future opportunities for our customers.”
Brown said the Coil Group’s expertise includes “an iPad-based mobile catalog and sales solution, which we expect to market to companies needing to mobilize sales teams and channels. Each implementation is unique and will benefit from additional development and infrastructure services that C/D/H is so well known for.”
In addition to his work as a mobile strategist, Brown will also become C/D/H dierctor of sales.
C/D/H, founded nearly 25 years ago, offers vendor-neutral consultation in collaboration, infrastructure, unified communications, mobility, and project management.
